1950 Graduation at the Goethe Gymnasium, then masters school of arts and crafts. |

Academy of fine Arts. |

University of Göttingen (history of art, archeology and philosophy). |

First exhibition in the hall of the theater Göttingen. |

Stay in Rome. Aprenticeship in the studio of Corrado Cagli. Meets Guttuso. Involved in the intellectual life of Rome at that time. |

Return to Berlin and turn to figurative art. |

Berlin - Order for trial paintings for the reconstruction of the ceiling painted by Antoine Pesne in the Schloss Charlottenburg, which was destroyed in the war. |

Is one of the founding members of the artists association "Red Carnation" (Rote Nelke) in West-Berlin, which he forms part of until 1973.
